How to Install Debian 8.5 on VMware Workstation or VMware Player Step by Step Tutorial [HD]


Hello Friends! We’ll learn how to install Debian 8.5 on VMware Workstation or VMware Player. We’ll also install VMware Tools on Debian 8.5 Visit Debian website and Download Debian 8.5 ISO. www.debian.org Click on Getting Debian. Click on “Download an Installation Image” We’re going to download and install 64-bit Debian 8.5 Save the ISO file your computer. Launch VMware Workstation or VMware Player. Browse to Debian 8.5 ISO file. Set Debian virtual machine name. Set vm disk size. Customize virtual machine hardware. Increase VM Memory. (Optional) Choose “Graphical Install” and press Enter. Choose the Language. Set your location. Configure keyboard layout. set hostname. Set Root Password. Provide full name for new user. Set username. Set password for new user. Set Time Zone. Choose partition layout. You should install VMware Tools after Debian installation is completed. Choose Location for package manager. Choose the closest Debian Mirror. You can choose other Desktop Environments if you want. (Xfce, KDE, Cinnamon, MATE, LXDE) Choose /dev/sda Debian installation is completed. Press Enter to boot Debian 8.5 This is GNOME look. Fit Guest Now ( VMware Tools feature) is grayed out because VMware Tools or Open VM Tools is not installed on Debian 8.5 Let’s install VMware Tools (Open VM Tools) Become Root via su – apt-get install open-vm-tools-desktop Open-VM-Tools (VMware Tools) installation is completed.
