  1. Who in their right mind would buy the surface laptop?
Way overpriced for the specs you get and worse repairability then a MacBook

  2. Have you ever tried the VMultra Drive from Velocity Micro?

Granted, it is a little dated (does anyone still use discs?), but it is basically a USB 3 hub with an SD/SDHC/MMC reader and an open 2.5" SATA III hard drive bay. I have one that I configured with a Blu Ray reader/DVD writer but I haven't filled the open drive bay yet as I am saving up for an SSD to pop in there. I bought a USB C to USB type B cable to maximize transfer speeds for when I get it.

Do you think that would be worth reviewing? Do you think there is value to getting this over just going for an external SSD like the Samsung T5?

I mean, I already have the one I have but I don't have all the testing stuff you guys have…

  3. I've been looking at this USB C hub for the Surface Go. Reasonably priced and you get all the ports you could ever need. Maybe you could check it out! https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Delivery-Charging-Ethernet-Chromebook/dp/B076HN81GS?keywords=Ugreen+USB+C+hub&qid=1534816383&sr=8-1-spons&ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa&psc=1

  4. What do you recommend for Surface Pro 2017? I know you mentioned another Juiced product in the video but is there one that adds USB, Gigabit LAN and HDMI? i.e. taking up the USB and Display port?

  5. I wish there was a version for Surface book 2. Even though it has some ports, a dedicated hub is always useful.

  6. Gonna have to say I agree with most of the comments, why would anyone buy a Surface laptop?
I got a HP Spectre x360 which, in NZ anyways, had more modern internals, 2 thunderbolt ports for better compatibility with literally everything, as well as a type-A port, headphone/mic combo and Micro SD. All for a lower price. Remind me why anyone would buy a Surface Laptop?

  7. I still have some doubts about whether or not I should buy pro/laptop/book from last year combined with these add-ons, or stay with my crappy laptop while saving some money for the (maybe) next year's pro/laptop/book with perhaps some better ports…

  8. This is a much better solution than the one for the MacBook Mr. Mobile was touting. These three are just a small and simple port expanders that you can throw in your bag. The one Mr. Mobile reviewed was like as big as the keyboard section of a laptop – basically, it's pointless to get a thin and light laptop if you're going to throw that into your bag, too. These products make sense, that one didn't.

  9. Hey Mark, could u by any chance have a look at inateck usb 3.0 dockingstation? I wonder whether it would also fit at the surface laptop e.g. fitted at the back of the display when opened. thx in advance!

  10. 2 USB ports, an SD card reader, a Micro SD card reader, and a gigabit ethernet port all through 1 USB 3 port? I am skeptical…
