Mantra to balance effects of the Nine Planets (Navagrahas) | By Swami Purnachaitanya

In the ancient traditions of India, in the
Vedic traditions, Sanatana Dharma, they give a lot of importance to the effect of the nine
planets on our life. They say that these nine planets have different
effects, they can be positive and they can be negative also. And basically, if you see from an astrology
point of view, the nine planets symbolize Time. So the effects of the nine planets are not
just specifically the effect that Saturn has on your life, or the Sun has on your life. It shows that in Nature there are cycles,
there are different things that are happening, and each time has an effect on us. Like in the winter it is cold, so in the winter
certain stars will be there, certain things will be happening in the cosmos, and based
on that you can see that it is winter or it is this year or it is this month. So they said to pray to the nine planets,
and use the right mantras, so we can increase the positive effects and we can decrease or
nullify the negative effects on our lives, on our body, or our mind, and the environment. So there is a beautiful mantra addressed to
the nine planets that will help us to balance their effects. It says: AADITYAAYA CHA SOMAAYA MANGALAAYA BUDHAAYA CHA GURU SHUKRA SHANIBHYAS CHA RAAHAVE KETAVE NAMAH. So it has all nine: AADITYAAYA CHA SOMAAYA
MANGALAAYA BUDHAAYA CHA GURU SHUKRA SHANIBHYAS CHA RAAHAVE KETAVE NAMAH. So this is a mantra anybody can chant. So whenever you feel that there is some effect
of the planets or of time on my life, you can chant this mantra a few times. And also during an eclipse, for example, or
when you feel it is needed. Do remember that this effect is limited. Some people get so worried when an astrologer
tells them that because of this planet your life will not work out. No, these effects are there, but only up to
some extent, and there is always a solution. So one of the things you can do is chant this mantra, or of course the Mahamantra OM NAMAH SHIVAAYA also is very very effective, because
it is said that Shiva sits on all the planets, He controls all the planets. So if you address Shiva directly also, that
Shiva Tattva, that definitely has a very powerful effect. And that is why we say that when you meditate,
when you do your spiritual practices, this will already reduce those effects and protect
you from these effects, because the Shiva Tattva, the Self in us, the Consciousness,
is much more powerful than all these things. But yes, if there is a mantra you would like
to chant, this is a wonderful mantra that anyone can chant. It says: AADITYAAYA CHA SOMAAYA MANGALAAYA
BUDHAAYA CHA GURU SHUKRA SHANIBHYAS CHA RAAHAVE KETAVE NAMAH.

  1. Dear swamiji
When there is storm ,it is difficult to seek sun ,just like evolution of mind from smaller happiness to larger ,at one point of time we would naturally seek the highest.
When we realize the ultimate the differences and conflicts vanishes ,one is blessed with equanimity to see good and bad.
Trying out equanimity in the beginning without reaching the ultimate, wouldn't it be disastrous.
    Please enlighten me swamiji
