Hey Guys, this is Sourav and welcome to another brand new video on the channel. First of all, I would like to thank my first subscribers. Thanks a lot guys, you guys have formed the base of my channel. I have gained around 30 SUBSCRIBERS since my last video. Today, we will be talking about the central component of the PC, the motherboard. In today’s video, we will be talking about the various parts of a motherboard and their functions. So, let’s get started [Channel Intro] The motherboard, also known as the main board, system board, base board, planner board and dozen other names, is the core of the PC and the place where almost everything in the computer happens Although it doesn’t do much by itself, but still it is needed for the operation of every computer system as it provides connectivity between the electronic components of the system and provides connectors for peripherals. To be simple, without the motherboard, all the important components like the CPU, the GPU, system memory, sound card, etc. would not receive any power and would not be able to communicate among each other. Now, let’s see that most motherboards contain including their architecture. Here, I have one common motherboard, the ASUS M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard. We will be using this one for the purposes of this explaination. At first, let’s have a look at the I/O ports or the input/output ports. Here’s the PS/2 mouse port and here’s the PS/2 keyboard port. These are the two USB 3.0 ports And here are the USB 2.0 ports
